Contents of the Pharmacology Course:
Pharmacology as a subject is completely integrated within the curriculum for the first and second year of medical curriculum. For example, within a core topic of the respiratory system, pharmacologists contribute some aspects of regulation of the system and how pharmaceutical substances can affect the system and by which mechanisms. The general characteristics of the more commonly used drugs are presented. Also some clinical pharmacological aspects are covered, although clinical pharmacology in itself is integrated within the 4th and 5th years of the curriculum.
